The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch的点评
点评：Wow doesn’t begin to describe how gorgeous this view of the over 50 acres of ranunculus are. You can see the fields for free if you drive past the entry and turn at the next light on Armada Drive. We bought our entry tickets online and unfortunately were caught in a mess at the airports causing our flights to be delayed over 12 hours and we missed our ticketed times entry for the next day. We sent an email to the Flower Fields and they replied quickly we could still come. Every worker we encountered was polite and knowledgeable. We went the second week of March and spent about 3-4 hours on the farm. We paid the extra $8 to enter the butterfly area. We were given little cotton swabs with nectar on one end for the butterflies to land on but it didn’t work well for me but my husband used it to gently pick up the butterflies . We wore white and the butterflies were attracted to the color. There are loads of photo opportunities in the massive flower fields. We had fresh chocolate covered strawberries and ventured into the orchid building. Every area is well maintained and cared for. The stained glass sculpture garden is beautiful too. We did not pay the extra for the wagon ride as it was easy for us and our university age daughters to walk to the field of blooms. There is also a short film in one of the buildings on the history of the fields. Well done.
