点评：We spent two nights at Palmarium Reserve. The trip by fast boat to arrive at the property is reminiscent of scenic amazonian destinations. The hotel is perched on a small hill directly above the lake. The property is run with passion by friendly staff and to us it was another very positive experience. We were assigned a two story family bungalow with two double beds, so we could decide whether to sleep on the ground floor or on the first floor, both floors featuring separate bathrooms. Both rooms were very clean, comfortable and decorated with taste. Palmarium is a remote eco-lodge, therefore there is a daily power schedule which guests need to take into consideration (i.e. no 24/7 electricity). Water pressure is low and is heated by wood-fired boilers, so some patience is needed especially very early in the morning. We also hint to carry some shower gel and shampoo as an extra for the stay. The property features a curio shop where vanilla pods can be purchased along with various artisanal artwork. Food was very good (rich breakfast and twice a daily menu + à la carte options). Many lemurs species will stroll around, not shy of any close contact with visitors, allowing for easy but stunning close-up photos. Their very loud cry will not pass unnoticed. A night walk into the forest to spot the shy Aye-Aye crowned our stay. In spite of the remote location, payment of the extras thru credit card was not an issue. Our experience was very positive, but we urge fellow travelers to research accurately and well in advance about destinations, especially if they travel with limiting conditions, idiosyncrasies or health issues. Wise & appropriate expectation management is a crucial asset needed to plan for trips into wilderness & to remote lodges.
