The New York Capitol - An American Castle
纽约州议会大厦的点评
点评：The New York State Capitol is an amazing work of art! It has exquisite carving everywhere you look. It was began in the post civil war area in 1867, and was completed in 1900 when Theodore Roosevelt declared it completed. Two Us Presidents, Grover Cleveland and Theodore Roosevelt were involved in building the NY capitol. It looks like a castle from the outside and is just as impressive from the inside.
I recommend the guided tour. It last an hour and is packed with historic facts about the capitol and people that built it. Our tour guide’s name was Michael and he did a great job with information and projection of his voice. My husband has difficulty walking so he took us to an elevator instead of using the great staircase.
Parking near the Capitol can be a challenge so we parked in the MVP parking garage and were about a block from the Capitol.
