点评:My friends and I went on a Butlins 80s weekend last weekend. I used to think very highly of Butlins but recently it seems that the only thing they are interested in is making as much money off their customers as possible. One pint and 2 mixers, not doubles, over £20 a round and various things that they have done away with unless you pay for the privilege now like making special requests on your booking. We booked the bottomless bruch in advance for our break. One of our party dropped out a week before and seeing as we were able to advise Butlins in advance for them to alter the amount of food and drink they would have on the day I thought there would be no problem cancelling that space and getting the money back for it. Alternatively if Butlins did not want to issue a refund they would give us a voucher to use onsite and we could to give the money back to our friend. This way Butlins wouldn't be loosing anything so win win, completely reasonable request and they do vouchers as I've had them before but NO. I felt sorry for the girl on the phone as she agreed with what I was saying but when she checked with her manager the answer was no. The manager didn't even have the guts to tell me this themselves and told the call handler to do it. In fact I asked to speak to the manager and was told they wouldn't speak to me! Zero accountability or customer service. It never used to be like this but once they have your money now they just don't care.
