点评：Lots of things to see in this museum and village. Start with the museum. You will learn about the Rockford Peaches, which was a women's league baseball team. Check out the information on Sock Monkeys made from the socks made in the area (and then visit the Sock Monkey Museum in Long Grove IL on your way home), military history, manufacturing in the area, different businesses in Rockford, a story of a plane crash and recovery. No matter what your interest is, there will be something for you. Exit out into the village grounds. Here a tour guide will take you into the buildings that are available to enter and give you a short history of each. Some of the buildings are originals and some are replicas. They will let you know which is which.
If you are planning on coming during a special event like the WWII reenactment, the village buildings are not accessible, so plan on visiting a separate time if you want to enjoy the history.
I would plan on spend a few hours here. The doll museum was closed when we were here.
