点评:We were surprised to find that we were freely able to walk through the Equestrian Centre and look at the horses. It’s right in the heart of Sydney and yet, I’d never noticed it before.
We came here recently when we were visiting Centennial Park and the Entertainment Quarter.
It’s free to walk through and it was a really interesting thing to do with kids. We watched a horse being run though her paces in the lunging yard and we were able to check out the stables area where some of the staff let the kids pat Ghost, a beautiful white/grey horse who couldn’t have been more friendly (we were warned that the only danger with Ghost was being licked to death).
We were also introduced to Mocha, a very sweet pony who was a little more kid-friendly sized for the more timid child.
You can do pony and horse rides or lessons here but if you are just walking through then you have to be aware that this is a working equestrian centre. You need to be respectful of the trainers, the horses and their needs and to check with staff before you approach any of the horses.
