Cosm Los Angeles的点评
点评：Cosm is a great venue -- not too big, parking is convenient (free with a ticket purchase), and the customer service is good. We were lucky to get seats in the center with a great view.
Cosm is excellent for sporting events. It feels like you're live at the game -- the screen, the ambience, and the food service all contribute to that energy.
Here is the downside: it is a terrible place to watch a movie, especially a dialogue-driven one like The Matrix. The servers, the kitchen, the audience, the bartender, and the lighting never adjusted to a movie-watching vibe.
The waitress brought the check to be cashed out during the climax of the film. Servers stand in front of customers while taking orders and delivering food, so you have to wait or crane around them to follow the plot.
Guests were chatting as if they were at a Lakers game -- likely fueled by the amount of alcohol being served. The worst part, though, was the kitchen noise. You could hear staff talking and laughing, dishes clanging, and the bartender holding full conversations. The background noise was loud and distracting. At a sporting event, you wouldn't notice -- or would even expect it. For a movie, it's a dealbreaker.
The staff seemed oblivious to the fact that the audience was watching a film. For sports -- absolutely go. For a movie -- I do not recommend it. Too much going on. It gets 5 stars for sport - 1 star for a movie.
