One With Whales的点评
点评：For anyone who wants to be immersed in the culture of Rurutu and to swim with humpback whales, then look no further than One With Whales.
“Gisèle and Nahuma, the matriarch and patriarch of the family, began documenting and protecting the whales decades ago. Their children, Teiti and Onoï, continue this work today, along with their expert whale guide, Hervé”
While there were many people involved in the One with Whales adventure, it is Gisele and Nuhuma who are the driving energy behind this experience. Their passion and love for Rurutu is evident in how they live their lives. There is so much love for their heritage and culture.
Their children Teiti and Onoi carry their legacy forward. Teiti has the sweetest soul of anyone I have ever met and works very hard to keep everyone happy and well fed. Such an amazing chef and human being. And Onoi as captain takes her job seriously. She is highly respected out on the water. She is serious, and takes safety seriously. She works seamlessly with Herve.
And Herve, wow! Such an amazing guide. His knowledge about the whales that come to Rurutu is astounding. He understands their behavior. And he has a built in sonar system. His ability to find whales is beyond comprehension.
There are definitely other companies on Rurutu, but they are not One with Whales (OWW). OWW respect the whales. They don’t overwhelm the whales with lots of people. If more boats are arriving and dropping in on the same whales, OWW will leave and find other whales to lessen the impact and stress on the whales. This is important!
This trip is more than just whales. It is exploring Rurutu with locals anytime you are not in the water.
There are not enough words to describe this experience. This is a once in a lifetime experience!
