点评：This quaint little town has a lot of charm and the Hochatown Distilling Company adds to the allure. To sign up for the tour, enter the gift shop, where you’ll be greeted with vibrant and engaging locals who are knowledgeable, helpful, and lovely. Don’t discount this shop, sure there’s a bar in the back but the little shop has high quality gifts (not just full bottles of the samples from your tour) to satisfy most ages (even the little ones).
The tour itself is approximately 2 hours (give or take the size of the group). Our guide was truly a passionate and well traveled Whisky guru who clearly enjoys his trade. Despite being December, we had a bout of very warm weather and were satisfyingly greeted with the aroma of barrels who thought they were in a summer swelter. Good hint for folks, if you enjoy Whisky/Bourbon, warmer months offer best experiences.
Once completing the educational “how to make Whisky, how to store and bottle Whisky” you’ll head over to the hidden speak easy for a secluded, small group experience.

We’ve traveled to Scotland and all over Europe having experienced Whiskey, Beer, etc in their native lands in a similar fashion. It’s truly such a joy to find the same fervor here at “home”.
