点评:We booked a car for a few days in Italy through Avis.ca and prepaid in full by credit card. The car provided at Rome airport was smaller than the one initially booked and we were quoted the new price. Our credit card number was of course kept on file until we returned the car in perfect shape and topped off with gas as requested.
Upon our return we discovered that we had been double charged for the same rental. Since June 2025 until today (November 1st 2025) we have submitted a complaint ticket on-line and followed up with numerous phone calls and yet have to get refunded! All customer service representatives who answered us have been unable to resolve issue and just repeat the same standard response: ''we have done everything we can on our side, the case is open, you have to wait". It is unacceptable to have to wait for close to 5 months for a refund due to double billing. Shame on Avis, they should correct their mistake and refund their customers first and then complete their investigations and paperwork! Avoid dealing with them at all cost.
