First of all, do not miss the view from the top of the cliffs. There is a clearly marked viewpoint here, and it is worth almost the entire visit on its own.
Scala dei Turchi has several parking areas that charge a few euros. From these, it is quite a long walk down to the beach, involving many flights of stairs. Keep in mind that you will have to make the climb back up as well, so this is something to consider depending on your age, fitness level, and the temperature on the day of your visit.
The first section of the beach is packed with restaurants and sunbathers, but if you keep walking all the way to the far end, beyond where the main beach ends and a little farther still, you will discover a swimming experience unlike any other. Here, you can swim right next to the stunning white cliffs. The water feels as warm as a thermal spring, and the scenery is simply priceless.
This is also where you will find the entrance to the limestone cliff itself. A makeshift ticket booth charges €6 per person and allows access to the cliff for 20 minutes. It is absolutely worth it.
