Worth the Drive! Elevated Pub Food and Craft Beer at Ogie Brewing in Milford, NH

点评：I've heard great things about the food at Ogie Brewing in Milford, NH (I've already tried and love their beer). I finally made the trip to try the food and it did not disappoint. Locally sourced ingredients, housemade sauces, flavorful elevated pub food, and excellent craft beer, plus a house-brewed hard seltzer you can customize, in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, make it perfect for a casual date night or an afternoon with friends.
We tried the Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls, which were crispy and packed with flavor. And with my guilty pleasure, tater tots, we enjoyed their creamy, well-balanced housemade beer cheese.
We also shared a wrap and flatbread. The grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap, made with housemade Caesar dressing, has a surprising crunch from roasted breadcrumbs. I had to try the Granite Town Flatbread with its jalapeño jam (the jam also comes on a burger). The flatbread totally won me over with just the right amount of sweet heat.
When it came to drinks, I went with the Patchwork Palace porter, robust and smooth. There are lots of IPAs to choose from (I’m not an IPA fan). For non-beer drinkers, their house-made hard seltzer is a fun option that you can customize with flavored syrups.
They have a “Pay It Forward” board, which I’ve never seen anywhere else. It offers free drinks to first responders and military members purchased by other customers who want to “pay it forward.”
If you want to make an afternoon of it, the brewery is downtown off the Oval, where you can find shops and another local brewery all within walking distance. Make the drive, and you can easily try two local craft brews in one trip.
