点评:This tour is a fantastic way to start your Uluru experience. You are picked up from your hotel and taken to the Tali Wiru viewing platform to watch the sunrise. This viewing platform is a bit further away, so the rock isn’t as prominent in photos, however mesmerizing nonetheless. The breakfast served is quite good, hot drinks with pastries and egg/bacon rolls. Post breakfast we were taken to the base of the rock where we were astonished by Uluru up close and were taken to a number of different spots including the Mutitjulu Waterhole and Kantju Gorge. Our guide told us of the creation stories he was allowed to share, including the Mala story. The Mala story is very very important to the Anangu people and Uluru. There is a free ranger guided Mala Walk (separate activity) at 10am daily however when we attempted to join (on a different day) there was, no exaggeration, atleast 100 people there, so hearing the story from our passionate, informative guide as part of the Desert Awakenings really enriched our experience. Post our base walks our guide stopped so we could take more photos at the sunset viewing platform and also spend some time at the Cultural Centre.
I definitely recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your Uluru adventure. It is around 6 hours long, and worth every second as you get to see Uluru from afar, up close and hear the creation stories which are so important for the foundation of your visit. It was very very cold at sunrise and in the shadow of the rock too, so make sure you dress warmly.
