点评:We have been using Arthur's since it opened and its always been excellent. Unfortunately, we visited last week and realised that it had changed hands, and my god, was it obvious. There were 4 people outside eating when we arrived. Inside was empty, whuch immediately raised suspicion. The usual friendly staff were missing, replaced by a young girl who was only on her 2nd shift apparently. We waited 5 minutes just to be asked for drinks,bearing in mind the place was dead. We ordered 2 sandwiches. I was asked if i wanted chips or mash with that.....with a sandwich??? I questioned this and was told she was just getting used to the menu. HALF AN HOUR LATER!!! our food arrived. My wife took one bite and said it was inedible as there was so much salt in it, she'd ordered the tuna mayo and red onion, so we sent it back and said we didnt want anything else. When asked if mine was ok, I questioned why it had taken half an hour to make 2 sandwiches in an empty restaurant, apparently, she'd forgotten to put the order through.....ours was the only order. We finished and went to settle up. The guy, who we assumed was the owner, was preparing the bill, and then stopped mid flow,, to see to 4 guys who came in to watch football. He then spent 5 minutes making sure it was on the right channel. We received no apology from him about our service. I told him I was only paying for the one sandwich just in case he tried to charge for both. I asked if it was under new management, he said it was, I told him it certainly showed and we wouldn't be returning. If you're looking for somewhere nice to eat, try the Friendly Bar in the Citrus Centre, weve just discovered it and its lovely food and staff, how Arthur's was before.
