点评：Buyer beware. My parents rented a golf cart from Cary Cart Company on Bald Head Island and returned it 15 minutes late. The company charged them $110, the price of an entire day's rental, for a 15 minute delay.
When I called to challenge this, the manager claimed the delay affected other customers the next day. He could not substantiate this when I pressed him on it. He then promised to call my mother to resolve the issue. He never did.
Other customers report similar experiences: a late fee buried in fine print, never mentioned at signing, and no follow-up once you dispute the charge. Get the late fee policy in writing before you sign anything, and confirm the exact return time and any grace period. This company will charge you the full rental price for being minutes late, then leave you to chase them down when you push back. This pattern of steep, undisclosed fees and unresponsive follow-up raises real questions about how this company treats customers who push back.
