Bee hive and honey experience

点评：My husband and I did this experience - it was very educational! We drove out of town for the first part:
- we saw the european wasp trying to steal bees from the hive boxes
- we got to hold the frames and spot queen bees
- we watched a new bee hatch from her cell
- we got to use the smoke cannister
- we learned about queen bee-haviour and the significance of the different coloured cells in the hive.
The bees were very calm and bee-haved admirably! We then drove back to Nafplio where Sophia had prepared a big spread of fruit, yogurt, cheese and nuts to be paired with multiple types of honey.
While tasting, she told us all about bees, including looking at several dead bees under an electronic magnifying glass to see their super cool features like velcro wings or very long tongue.
Sofia is a wealth of information and lovely person to chat with. Highly recommend this experience! Oh and she gave us free jars of honey and other goodies at the end. Loved it!! 😍
