点评：I recently went on a fishing trip with a ghillie called Rob, and the whole purpose of the trip for me was to learn — and what a teacher I found.
The amount of knowledge this man has is unbelievable. It wasn’t just fishing either. From the local wildlife and places to visit, to birds, rabbits, beavers and everything in between, Rob seemed to know absolutely everything about the area. You could tell straight away this isn’t just a job to him — it’s something he genuinely lives and breathes.
His fishing knowledge alone was incredible. If I was to go into full detail about everything I learned, I’d genuinely be here all day. What impressed me most though was the way he shared that knowledge. It never felt boring or like information overload — every conversation felt natural, interesting and enjoyable, and he was more than happy to answer every question I had.
For me personally, as someone who isn’t always comfortable around people, Rob made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed from the start. It felt natural spending time with him, which says a lot.
An absolute gentleman with a real passion for what he does, and I honestly wish him all the success in life. If you’re thinking about booking a trip, I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.
