点评：Our safari experience was absolutely incredible! Our guide was amazing, arranging a taxi pickup from Ella and drop-off afterward to Mirissa, making the whole trip seamless. He spoke excellent English and shared fascinating and useful information about the animals we encountered.
Even though our tour was during the dry season, our guide found perfect spots where we could see large herds of elephants. The open grasslands and reservoir made it easy to spot not just elephants but also other wildlife like crocodiles, jackals, mongooses, and many bird species.
Udawalawe National Park is truly a unique safari destination in Sri Lanka, especially for guaranteed elephant sightings. Compared to the more crowded Yala National Park, Udawalawe offers a more peaceful and immersive wildlife experience. The best time to visit is during the dry seasons, from December to March and May to September, when animals gather near water sources, making them easier to find.
For anyone looking for a genuine, relaxed, and unforgettable wildlife adventure, a safari in Udawalawe is an absolute must.
