Suncoast Biplanes的点评
点评：Wow, what a great flight adventure and experience with Suncoast Biplanes. We flew out of the PGN airport on their Waco YMF-5 Biplane named “Gracie”. Our excellent adventure started in their office with Joy providing a brief history of the company and some safety information (no smoking, no wing-walking). Joy was so pleasant to work with and assisted us with rescheduling our initial flight plans (due to sickness).
Prior to boarding the plane, we had a few photos taken and then Gareth (Joy’s husband) gave us some info about the construction of the biplane and additional history. Gareth assisted us with how to step into the front cockpit, once seated we donned our headsets with microphones and fastened our shoulder belts. The passenger cockpit was comfortable for two, the pilot was seated directly behind us. Our experience pilot “John” made us comfortable and provided us with a narrated tour during our beach tour (45 min) flight. We had a morning flight with bright sunshine and blue skies for our tour of the SWF coastline. The open cockpit provides a great view and is truly a unique flying experience. We flew out over Charlotte Harbor to the barrier islands and then down to the coastline past Boca Grande, Cayo Costa, Cabbage Key and private Useppa Island. The white sand beaches and blue ocean water were mostly empty on this day. On the return, we circled directly over our home in Burnt Store Marina. Before we knew it, John was making a smooth touch down on the main runway at the PGD airport and taxied us back to the starting point. If you have the opportunity, take a Biplane flight and enjoy the adventure.
