A Bad Experience at the Reception

点评：We purchased our tickets online. We arrived at the National Constitution Center and after a brief security check by uniformed security guards including a bag search, we were directed to the Reception to check in. The woman working there was dressed in such a fashion and in so bizarre a manner that it made us very uncomfortable to have to deal with her. I am unable to describe it. But she was the gatekeeper, we had to go through her. She was nice, but they really need to have some sort of dress code. It cast a pall on our day and detracted from our experience. From there one goes to the Theatre, where there is a show by a live actor with audio and video. In the past I have seen the actors dressed in colonial-period garb, but this gentleman was dressed in a nice suit and tie. Following the performance one climbs up the stairs to the Constitution exhibits on the second floor. The exhibits are informative and there is a of text to read. I felt there should have been more about the Second Amendment. All the employees on the exhibit floor wear the same shirts so you can identify them if you have any questions. They were helpful. Then it is on to the ground floor with exhibits on slavery and women’s suffrage. It was an extremely hot day outside but all the exhibits were freezing cold. Ladies bring a wrap.
