点评:This was our first visit, and while it was good, the gardens would be better when more flowers are blooming. There were some daffodils and a few tulips, but not much else. We mainly went to see Thomas Dambo's Troll exhibit, which was really cool to see in person. If you don't do the Troll Tram (extra $8 on Friday and weekends only), you don't get the story of each of the trolls because there aren't signs about each one's part in the story they tell. The tram was a nice way to see everything, too.
Admission fee was high considering there wasn't much to see yet. Most of the people we encountered on our trip were members out walking. There were a decent number of people there for a Friday afternoon. A wedding was going to take place, so we felt a little rushed. Was bummed to see they have a model train garden and then found out it's only functioning on the weekends in April.
You could easily walk the entire garden in 1-2 hours if you stop to look at everything. It had a nice, quiet feeling the day of our visit. If you have children, there is a new play area that opened last year and looks really cute.
The staff were very nice and helpful when we arrived and were figuring out the lay of the gardens.
After you visit the garden, walk up the stairs from the parking lot to Kenefick Park to see the two big Union Pacific locomotives.
