Bottle feeding the baby goats was a fabulous experience

点评：We visited the Gorgeous Goat Creamery for one of their 2026 activities, bottle feeding the baby goats.
This year, they had 49 new goats born, with 6 more expected. One was born less than 24 hours ago. The goats arrive into the world ready to go. They are up on their feet almost immediately.
The baby goats get hungry and are bottle fed. The couple who own the farm have setup a program where eight people at one time can visit for a one hour time slot and bottle feed the newborns.
After arriving, you proceed to a wooden structure where all 49 goats are wandering around. There are wooden tree rounds and bales of hay for visitors to sit while the baby goats discover them. They attached themselves to my fingers and attempted to chew on my coat and scarf.
The next stage is moving outside. They have two penned in areas with seating. They bring out a baby goat. Each has a name tag. (This year the baby goats are named after characters from the Harry Potter stories.). They hand you a plastic bottle with a nipple. You hold the bottle in front of the goat, who attaches themselves to the bottle. Less than a minute later, the bottle is empty. They have a staff person, who helps you with the process.
This is not a “one and done” activity. They have 49 young goats who expect to eat several times a day! They ask: “would you like to bottle feed another goat?” They repeat the process.
Your time slot is an hour, then the next group of visitors arrives.
This was a great activity. Are there drawbacks? You need reservations. Obviously , there is a cost. It is not free, but it is reasonable. We brought two guests. It has been snowing and raining recently, so the ground is muddy. The baby goats are not the neatest drinkers. Enthusiastic is better description. These are all minor issues, but you need to dress accordingly. This was a fabulous experience.
