One of the few legitimate turtle conservation efforts in Bali

点评：We visited the Sea Turtle Village while staying in Sanur and were really impressed by the work they're doing.
There are so many turtle attractions in Bali that it can be difficult to know which are genuine conservation efforts and which are simply tourist attractions. This one felt authentic. The turtles appeared well cared for, and we were pleased to see that visitors were not handling or interacting with them.
We were especially lucky to visit at the right time to witness turtle hatchlings being carefully dug up from nests on the beach. The staff explained that the eggs are relocated to protect them from being accidentally trampled by beachgoers or dug up by dogs, giving the hatchlings a much better chance of survival.
It's reassuring to know this initiative is supported by the Hyatt Regency and Andaz resorts, and from everything we saw, it appears to be a legitimate conservation project with the turtles' welfare at its heart. If you're interested in learning more about sea turtle conservation while in Sanur, this is well worth a visit.
