点评:It took a while for me to get round to writing this review as it was back in June when we were there.
We had pre booked our trip to Momento Park before leaving home as by doing so were were able to take advantage of the option to get there by Trabant, the ubiquitous East German Soviet era car which added greatly to the experience.
Our guide and driver Judit met us at the hotel and drove us across town to the Momento Park in the Trabi which attracted a lot of attention.
Without her guidance the park would have been just a collection of old soviet era sculptures but with her expert knowledge and first hand involvement with the recent history she was able to explain the subtleties of the art work that we would otherwise have missed. This included commentary on Hungarys place in the Soviet Union and its relationship with its big brother Russia and its revolutionary heroes and villains.
The park is largely open and exposed but we were offered parasols for sun protection.
There is a souvenir shop, coffee and toilets on site.
