奥兹维辛集中营博物馆的点评
点评：The irony of this place is that it's a warning for all humanity, yet somehow I felt that not everyone should really visit here... some people come here throwing smiles at the pictures etc., it was a strange experience seeing people act this way at such a tragic location...
I think though that ultimately it's a personal journey/experience for everyone, and a subjective thing... so I perhaps will share what I took out of it so you can plan your visit:
1. You book in advance the window of arrival (we were late 30m and it was no problem since this we didn't do a guided tour) - it's a FREE entrance, but you need to register online in advance
2. Upon arrival there is a big parking lot, I believe for that you we paid
3. Restrooms before you enter the grounds (keep in mind as you may end up walking around for a very long time)
4. The grounds are big, and most of the time you are in the open air - our visit got cut by rain, so bring umbrellas if you suspect it coming, or on a sunny day be smart and wear a sunscreen
5. It's long distances of walking, it's all flat but even to go via underground tunnel to the starting point can be a challenge for those with mobility issues
I think this place leaves an impression on everyone, Americas' Slavery and European Holocaust I think are the 2 biggest mass scale human crimes in the human history, I understand we all have a different opinion/feeling about it, but being here was a grim feeling, it reminds you that it "did happen ... not so long ago" and to be perfectly honest, unfortunately this is something that haunts you a bit afterwards...

4. 园区面积很大，大部分时间都是在户外——我们的参观因下雨而不得不提前结束。所以，如果预感到会下雨，就带上雨伞；而在晴天时，也请明智地涂上防晒霜吧。
5. 这里需要步行很长的距离，虽然路面平坦，但对于行动不便的人来说，即便只是通过地下通道前往起点也颇为吃力。
我觉得这个地方会给每个人留下深刻印象。我认为美洲的奴隶制与欧洲的种族大屠杀是人类历史上两起最严重的大规模人类罪行。我明白对此我们各自都有不同的看法和感受。不过身在这里的感觉很压抑，它提醒着你“这种事确实发生过……就在不久前”。说实话，很遗憾，这件事在事后会一直萦绕在心头……
