An u forgettable journey with our amazing guide and driver, Charith

点评：We don’t know how we would have ever come to know and love Sri Lanka, without our most wonderful guide and amazing driver, Charith. From the moment he met us on our arrival at the airport with his infectious smile, he made sure that every day of our twelve day tour of beautiful Sri Lanka, was memorable.
Nothing was too much trouble for Charith, from very early morning starts to visit wildlife parks, to late evening climbs to view amazing sunsets or detours to out of the way corners of the Sri Lankan countryside, we would never have otherwise experienced.
It was so easy to travel with Charith as he has a wonderful sense of humour, and is always happy to share a story. He is such a kind and compassionate man, and always thinking of us, what we might like, how we might feel, how he can make our trip more fun enjoyable.
Charith was a miracle worker. He conjured up train tickets when a booking we had made prior to our trip was declared invalid, due to a train cancellation resulting from damage during their recent cyclone, yet with his negotiating skills and charm soon had us on our way to Ella by rail. He also promised us we would see a leopard in Yala National Park. We thought it highly unlikely, but we did indeed see a leopard, high in a tree smiling down at us, before the end of our safari, with the help of his competent park guide on a wonderful day at Yala National Park.
Charith has given us an insight into Sri Lanka we never thought possible, nor had we expected, in just twelve days. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to Sri Lanka, Charith will be one of the reasons for us to return!
