A site of remembrance to Poland's fallen, but not forgotten, soldiers.
Grób Nieznanego Żołnierza的点评
点评:Tomb of the unknown solider. This is a site dedicated to the unknown soldiers who have given their lives for Poland. It is one of many such national tombs of unknowns that were erected after World War I, and the most important such monument in Poland.
One can see several poignant engravings at the site as well as a small eternal flame including the changing of the guard every hour. It is quite modest in size, and not as grandiose as other tombs in other countries. When I visited on the Saturday morning around 9am there was also a small military parade with marching band in tow which was free to observe by members of the public at the site.
It is easy to get too and is situated nicely at one end of the large Saxon Garden - itself worthy of visiting.
