Poorly organised excursion with serious return transport issues
Safari Marrakech的点评
点评：We booked an Agafay / Atlas Camp camel ride excursion at the Safari Marrakech office on Rue el Gza.
My wife and our 13-year-old daughter departed Marrakech at around 4pm, arriving at the Agafay / Atlas Camp at approximately 5pm. No information was provided on arrival. They then waited around 45 minutes for the camel ride to begin, which finished at approximately 6:30pm.
Despite a dinner and desert sunset being part of the package, Safari Marrakech representatives wanted to end the excursion and return to Marrakech after the camel ride. Following some confusion and consultation with staff at the camp, they were taken to dinner. The Safari Marrakech representatives left the camp before the meal arrived and wished my wife and daughter a nice evening.
Moroccan soup and tagine were served at around 7pm. More than two hours later, there were still no Safari Marrakech staff on site and nobody had returned to collect them. As the only guests with Safari Marrakech, they were left alone, becoming increasingly cold and uncertain about how or when they would return to Marrakech.
Despite repeated attempts to clarify arrangements with the office for more than an hour, and being told at 8pm that a driver was “10 minutes away”, by 9pm still no one had arrived. At that point, the final minibus was preparing to leave the camp. Fortunately, the staff there intervened and arranged their return with the last driver, from another tour company, for which we were grateful.
My wife and daughter returned safely only because of intervention by camp staff and others present. We felt completely failed by Safari Marrakech in their organisation of return transport and in both their internal communication and their communication with us. The company later denied responsibility for what had happened.
The experience as a whole, particularly given that it involved a child and occurred after dark in a remote location, was unacceptable. We would not recommend this operator.
