Dream Car Rental的点评
点评：Very disappointing and stressful experience.
I would give zero stars if that option was available.
We returned the vehicle in the evening, but the company did not carry out an inspection with us at the time of return. The alleged damage (a few scratches on the car roof) was only raised the next morning, after the car had been out of our possession overnight. Because of this, we do not believe they can clearly prove the damage occurred during our rental period.
The company later replied that it was dark at the time of return. However, the return time was accepted by them in the evening before 7pm, so the fact that it would be dark was something their company should have considered and planned for. This should not be blamed on the customer.
Communication was also poor. We were told they were waiting for a quotation, but we were not given any proper chance to review or approve the quote before the repair was carried out. The car was already repaired, and only then were we presented with an invoice for $1,386. In our opinion, this amount seems extremely high for a few roof scratches, especially when we were not given the chance to review or challenge the quotation before the repair was done.
Overall, we feel the process was unfair and one-sided. There was no proper joint inspection at return, no clear opportunity to dispute the quote before repair, and we were asked to pay for damage that had not been clearly proven to be caused by us.
Would not recommend this company based on our experience. There are many better car rental companies with clearer and fairer procedures.
