点评：We chose the Sunset Cruise offered by the Victoria Xiengthong Palace Hotel, and it was truly a highlight of our stay in Luang Prabang.
Departure was at 4:30 pm for about two hours. Perfect timing to fully enjoy the beautiful late-afternoon colors over the Mekong River. We were warmly welcomed by the crew, who were attentive yet discreet throughout the cruise.
The boat is a charming traditional Lao vessel, full of authenticity. There were only four couples on board, which made the experience intimate and very pleasant. There are tables to sit comfortably, as well as two lounge chairs that are perfect for enjoying a cocktail while admiring the scenery.
We started with some local snacks and a welcome drink, followed by a carefully crafted cocktail prepared by the bartender. We then enjoyed a tasting set featuring typical local dishes, each more delicious than the last.
The cruise offers a beautiful overview of daily life along the Mekong. Watching the sunset from the water is simply stunning. Once night falls, the city lights come on and the atmosphere changes completely, just as beautiful, but in a different way.
A truly wonderful experience that we highly recommend if you are visiting Luang Prabang.
