I got RINGWORM at Kripalu

点评：I GOT RINGWORM (fungal infection of the skin) during my four day/three night stay! The facility is dirty. Apparently, they only conduct a deep clean (disinfect/wash yoga props) four times a year. I called to alert them about my RINGWORM and left two messages (over a 2 day period) but have not received a call back. This leads me to believe that RINGWORM is so common with their guests that it’s not a cause for alarm.
The Kripalu facility looks like a former state run mental institution….all cold cinder block and concrete, with a cavernous and bleak cafeteria. And it truly is a cafeteria set up…plastic tray, terrible cutlery, sandpaper napkins, and a conveyor system for your dirty dishes. The rooms are really basic. I was in the new Annex @ $558 (w/tax) per night. The mattress, sheets and pillows are dormitory quality and there is absolutely no soundproofing….you can literally hear entire normal volume conversations. All in, with a few ‘healing arts’ treatments and staff tips, I paid just over $2700 for the pleasure of a subsequent trip to the doctor and prescription anti-fungal cream. (2700 does not incl Dr copay and pharmacy script) Do yourself a favor and go to Canyon Ranch.
