点评:Such an amazing experience, would give it 10/10 if I could.
It’s a small family run business which makes it even more personable than if you were to visit somewhere bigger. It genuinely felt like we were chatting to the owners throughout rather than being on a formal tour. The website advertised the tour and tasting experience as lasting 90 minutes but we were there for 3 hours. Not because it went onto long or because they were running late, but because the owners were so laid back and happy to take their time and answer questions.
The chocolate itself was delicious and the hot chocolate we were given on arrival was quite simply the best I’ve ever had.
We had travelled up from London and had trouble getting back to the station as our pre-booked taxi couldn’t amend to a later time (we had anticipated 2 hours). One of the co-owners, Jonathan, offered to drive us to the station so we could make a later train and get the full experience. This is simply above and beyond what we’d ever expect and are truly grateful.
The factory is fairly remote so you do need a car. If you are coming in by train, make sure you pre-book a cab to and from the factory a few days in advance!
