Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park的点评
点评：Blennerhassett Mansion is on an island in the middle of the Ohio River between Parkersburg, WV and Marietta, OH. Tickets are purchased for the entire excursion: paddlewheel boat to and from the island as well as a tour of the mansion. Tickets can also be purchased for horse-drawn wagon tours.
This was our second trip over, but this was for a special event: The Mansion by Candlelight tour. An event in October covering two back-to-back evenings (choose your evening) which can also include a buffet supper on the grounds. Visitors are able to see the Blennerhassetts entertaining their guests at a party in the mansion. Many volunteers, in period costumes, add authenticity to the experience. There are musicians in most rooms, docents to set the scene, and candlelight bathing the mansion in golden light. A lovely event not to be missed.
