点评：This was a GREAT way to spend a day. We went to the Museum and got our full package tickets. These included the museum, a paddle-wheeler boat to the island, house tour, and wagon tour of the island. The price was very reasonable; however, they do not offer a senior discount. The paddle-wheeler was a great experience with licensed crew to work the lines and entry/exit platform. The Captain gave an overview of the destination during the 20 minute trip to the island. The Blennerhassett home on the island is a beautiful replica of the original home which burned to the ground years ago. There are a number of gifted volunteers (docents) who give tours. It’s obvious that they are fond of what they do. Our day on the island lasted about four hours (including boat ride to and from the island). If you like history, you’ll like this event. Do a little homework and read up on the Blennerhasset family before you go. It’s very interesting.
