Plattekill Mountain的点评
点评：If you are looking for an out of the way rustic experience in the Catskills for skiing and tubing this might be a good spot. My friend and I are die hard skiers who don’t need much other than good terrain, decent snow, and a lodge to hold our boots.
Kudos to the staff for being friendly and chill throughout the mountain from the lot and lifters to the lodge/food staff. There is a sense of pride throughout.
The terrain has a mix of nice fall line runs for the advanced, and some switchbacks for the intermediates. There is a small beginner area at the base for the beginner. The advanced runs were intentionally groomed or not groomed to pose more or less challenges for skill. I saw some tree runs too but preferred to hold off but they looked fun.
Picture perfect views of the area from the deck with waffles, pulled pork, pretzels, or a local brew or hot chocolate. Def a mountain to grab your bros or girl ski crew for some laps.
Important-Check their schedule as they are not open every day. The road to the mountain is windy and narrow. Arrive early so you don’t have to park on the side of the road.
