Easier to get to than expected and well worth it
Hill Of Crosses (kryžių Kalnas)的点评
点评：I thought it was going to be a difficult day trying to do Hill of Crosses enroute from Riga to Vilnius. The sightseeing transfer bus was not running on the day we went.
It worked out way easier… essentially we took a bus Riga to Siauliai - Ollex at 0600 and arrived just before scheduled 0830. It was a minibus and experience was way better than many reviews. It drops you at the petrol station in walking distance 5 mins to Bus Stn Euro 20 each. The bus stn has luggage drop 3 euros per bag open till 7pm on a weekday. We enquired about the local bus which went at 0825 and next 1025 so just missed it. Got a bolt there for euro 10.90. Had intended to ask him to wait etc but he spoke no English and so just dropped us. There’s an info office and a machine to make coffee at Hill of Crosses. All up including walking to the Monastery it was less than an hour looking around. It was really eery with a low fog surrounding. The very helpful lady at the info centre called a taxi - euro 11.45 back to bus station. There’s a shopping centre attached to Bus station. We wandered into town to the Cathedral and a market and had a coffee. Returned to bus station, collected bags and walked the 10 mins to railway station for the 1414 train to Vilnius.
Plenty of time and didn’t feel rushed or stressed. A great stopover.

时间充裕，我们丝毫没有感到匆忙或紧张。这真是一段很棒的途中停留经历。
