点评:My wife and I visited this museum while on a week-long visit to Darwin. While it is not the biggest aviation museum I've been to it is certainly one of the better well-done ones. The facility is very large with an American B-52 (complete) in the center; you can even walk up the steps of an old set of "air stairs" to peer into the cockpit. They have a small viewing balcony from which you can get a pretty good photo of the bomber or the entire area. There is a very nice tribute to women in aviation as well as a very detailed, informative display of an early air race from England to Austraia. They have a lot of wrecked parts from World War II and the Japanese attacks on Darwin. There is also about a 20 minute set of films that you should watch; one details the bombing of Darwin, another Hurricane Tracy (1974) and the air race. There is also an F-111 and FA-18 and a number of smaller aircraft and helicopters. Information boards are everywhere and most of them are at an easy-to-read level, well-lit, etc. Excellent museum with friendly staff.
