Wonderful Accessible Visit to Juno Beach Centre — Highly Recommended

点评：My wife uses a wheelchair and I act as her carer, so accessibility and comfort are essential when we visit museums. Our trip to the Juno Beach Centre was very impressive and exceeded our expectations — both historically enriching and genuinely accommodating.
From the start, the staff were welcoming and helpful. We were glad to learn that the Centre offers discounts for carers and wheelchair users — a thoughtful gesture that made our visit more affordable and inclusive.
Inside, the layout is well planned: wide, smooth pathways and accessible routes everywhere made it easy to navigate the exhibits with a wheelchair. The displays are arranged at a suitable height, so my wife could easily see and read everything, and the historical narrative was compelling and deeply moving.
The museum does an excellent job of presenting the story of D-Day from the Canadian perspective — with artifacts, personal stories, and multimedia displays that brought history to life. We appreciated the respectful, informative way the museum honors those who fought, and it was a powerful, educational experience for us both.
Parking was convenient, with reserved accessible spaces near the entrance, and the facilities (including restrooms) were clean, practical, and truly accessible — not just cosmetic.
Overall, the Juno Beach Centre gave us a meaningful, smooth, and very accessible visit. It strikes a great balance between remembrance, education, and accessibility, and we can’t recommend it highly enough for wheelchair users and their carers.
