点评:Only a fraction of the travel distance it used to be when it went to Parkdale. Not too many years ago the train rode past numerous orchards with a lot of history narrative along the way. Lots of blooming beauty. Now it travels a fraction of the distance to the perhaps vested, winery and fruit company store. It does go past an orchard or two.
One could drive to the destination winery and fruit company store, only a few miles form Hood River, in a few minutes and save $60+ but if you're not from the area it's a pleasant enough experience.
The winery charges $10 for a little more than an ounce of wine at the bottom of your glass and the "Fruit company" overcharged me almost 30% for some jam, was unable to void and refund then re-do the sale so they gave me another jar of jam to make up the difference.
They say they'll travel to Parkdale one day again but we should live so long.
On the plus side the decor, employees, and sound system are impressive. If you're from out of state or unfamiliar with the region , and don't mind overspending once in a while, then it's a decent trip.
