Historic home tour excellent, Burying ground tour just ok.
Beaufort Historic Site Visitor Center and Museum的点评
点评：Bought a combo ticket for the historic homes and burying ground in February. (Double decker bus does not run until spring). The historic homes tour with Susan was excellent. Over an hour tour with 3 homes, the courthouse, jail and apothocary. Really interesting with a lot of detailed information and well worth the cost. The apothocary alone was AMAZING with all the original items still inside (the whole building and contents were donated this way). A true gem and well worth the visit just for this building alone.
The burying ground was much less interesting and informative, our tour guide Doug had difficulty remembering the information and his lack luster performance made the tour depressing and tedious. This cemetery is not as interesting and many others we have visited and I suggest that if you really want to visit it, just using the free brouchure to guide yourself through at your own pace with as many or little details as your prefer.
