Creag Meagaidh National Nature Reserve的点评
点评：My mate and I decided to tackle the three Munro’s here, which resulted in a 22.5km hike accumulating 1,230m of elevation. I’m not sure to what extent the route was within the nature reserve, but I imagine a considerable amount of it.
The car park was very well maintained and in comparison to other Munro areas, one of the better set-ups I’ve experienced. It cost just £4.00 for the day, with free parking commencing at 19:00. However, no overnight staying permitted for anything but camping vehicles.
The route was scenic and gave us a bit of everything, including an interesting scramble on our final descent. The area in the photograph was significantly beautiful and we even spotted a gathering of snow, which had survived the summer climate.
Highly recommend this lovely part of Scotland. Take care on the road to and along Loch Laggan - there are many parts where it’s a bit of a squeeze meeting anything heading past you. Also, have repellent for the midges, specifically around the car park.
