点评:Saas-Fee: Premium Prices, Reduced Ski Area, Poor Value
Saas-Fee markets itself as a world-class, snow-reliable resort and charges accordingly. Unfortunately, the reality on the mountain does not match the price.
During my stay, a large number of lifts and pistes were closed despite being clearly skiable. Beginner terrain in particular was poorly served, with key areas remaining shut while guests were funnelled into limited zones. This made progression difficult and the overall ski experience frustrating — especially for families and less confident skiers.
Management insists closures are purely safety-based, yet multiple lifts were opened later without any new snowfall, strongly suggesting decisions are driven by economics rather than conditions. Charging full lift-pass prices while delivering a significantly reduced product feels disingenuous.
More concerning is the long-term trend: Saas-Fee has quietly lost skiable terrain over the years, with little visible effort to replace or recover it, while prices remain firmly at the premium end.
The scenery is spectacular and the village charming, but natural beauty alone does not justify the cost. Until lift operations, beginner access, and transparency improve, Saas-Fee represents poor value compared with many other Alpine resorts.
Verdict: Stunning setting, disappointing execution. Not worth the price unless the full ski area is genuinely open.
