点评:Given the history of Cobh, this is a “must do” if you can. They’ve made really good use of the old White Star building, packing in several interactive rooms as part of a guided tour, with seats available if required. You can’t just wander around by yourself so you do need to book on a tour. The guide was clear and chatty with audio guides available in other languages. Allow 45 minutes for the guided bit and then around 30 minutes to explore the exhibition rooms at the end where you’re left to your own devices. It’s fairly priced for an interesting experience.
An engaging touch is that each admission ticket is the name of someone who boarded Titanic at Queenstown (as it was called back then) and before you leave, you can check on their fate. My chap survived but later admitted he had partially disguised himself as a woman to get on a lifeboat.
