点评:My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting the Tycho Brahe museum on the island of Ven off the coast of Sweden in early May. Tycho was a Danish astronomer who worked in the late 1500's obtaining the data that allowed his associate, Kepler, to finally prove that the Earth was not at the center of the Universe, but was "merely" a planet orbiting the Sun. This is a wonderful day trip from Copenhagen. It's about an hour train ride to Landskrona, a short Uber trip to the harbor and a half-hour ferry ride to the island. There you can board a bus for the 5 minute trip to the museum or walk up the hill and rent a bike.
I would suggest taking a guided tour, which you can arrange in advance through the museum's Web site. We had a very knowledgeable and charming undergraduate physics and astronomy major from nearby Lund University as our guide. The museum's collections are housed in a converted church and include many items of interest on Tycho's life and times, well explained in English. These include proof that he lost part of his nose in a duel, while a student -- a fact every astronomy teacher knows! Out back you can find a statue and renaissance garden, as well as information on his castle Uraniborg, which was pretty completely demolished.
The "star" of the place is his nearby underground observatory, which has been reconstructed and hosts a 10-minute "show" that highlights some of his instruments and work. He put it underground to reduce vibrations due to wind and to better control environment. After visiting, you can ride by bike around the island (which we did not have time to do) and/or enjoy a wonderful meal at a nearby lodging/restaurant (which we did have time to do!). The island is flat, sparsely populated, full of birds and just quite lovely. It's an amazing pilgrimage for the astronomy-oriented and a pleasant, educational jaunt into the Swedish countryside for all.
