点评:I have been on many tours in my life. This tour was outstanding - one of the best, if not the best, I have ever been on. Gabriel, the owner/guide, told the story of how the farm has evolved from a monoculture coffee farm to an organic, sustainable, biodiverse area that grows not only coffee, but also bananas, mangos, licorice, cinnamon, turmeric, tangerines, and more - each plant providing ecological services to the other. And as if that's not enough, Gabriel also teaches the economics of the coffee supply chain and how an understanding of that supply chain has inspired their family to do much more with the coffee plant that simply roast the beans. Try the coffee marmalade. Try the coffee wine. Enjoy the coffee tasting and learn how the foods we eat along with the coffee impacts the sensory experience. It's been over a week since I took this tour with my sister - I'm still gushing. If you're in Costa Rica in the Central Valley and you drink coffee.....take this tour!
