Hisper La - tough trek!

点评：Hisper-La is an amazing trek.
You need to be pretty fit. In particular, there is a lot of walking over unstable rocks, which is treacherous and tiring.
We had the best team that we could have had in terms of porter, porter sirdah, and cook.
The expedition was well put together in terms of food, provisions, material things, and having the right people.
Food was plentiful and the diet well-balanced.
It was appetising at times when the altitude caused us to not feel like food. We particularly liked the cook's pakoras.
Guide was very inexperienced at dealing with clients although he tried his best.
Mattresses were appalling. Not only very thin but were not cared for and smelled of kerosene or horse dung. They were wet much of the time.
The North Face tents were generally in good condition but were missing guy ropes and tent pegs, which complicated construction. Although rocks are used instead of tent pegs commonly on this trek, parts of the trek are on snow where no rocks are available. The porters are unfamiliar with putting up the tent and it was sometimes the case that the fly rested against the inner. It was not until the end of the trek that I discovered the Velcro ties that helped align the fly.
Kamal was professional and engaged in all stages of booking trek. He is very well spoken and very clear.
Cost wise it was reasonable for a mid-priced trek.
They were very caring and adaptable.
Everyone helped when help was needed.
Without this strong team of porters and particularly the porter sirdah, we would not have made it.
