点评：You should do this, it’s worth the drive from Punta Cana. Our driver was Adolph, and the guide was Emilio. Emilio made the trip there and back very interesting with all of the historical and cultural information about DR that he was sharing. I wish the transport wasn’t an open air bus with no climate control. I felt like I was breathing in a lot of gasoline fumes.
Once there, the squirrel monkeys were great. There are tons of opportunities for photos, you can take as many as you want, and they only charged $50 for all the photos they took.
The power went out briefly while we were waiting to purchase photos. Their electrical system is a little haphazard. But they got it sorted and we moved on to the chocolate, coffee, mamajuana section of the tour. This was also quite interesting and I enjoyed all the cultural information. Though, I would have enjoyed more time in the “typical Dominican house” and less time hearing about every possible product they sell. I get it though.
All in all, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience, and we would recommend it. We booked through the resort for ~$450
