点评：They advertise this as a Tauck tour but in reality 7 of the 11 days were on the French ship, Le Laperouse by Ponant. The initial days in Edinburgh were largely a waste of time. Welcome dinner at 8:00 pm didn’t finish till 10:30. We were exhausted from jet lag. The next to days were spent killing time until we boarded the ship. Museaum on your own for example. Lunch and dinner on your own. We have sailed with Ponant before. This particular ship had a really weird layout. Rooms were small but comfortable. But the upper deck observation lounge had room for only 30 passengers. Ship’s capacity was 150. Almost impossible to get a seat. Swimming pool was the size of a parking space at the rear of deck 3. Food was average but all drinks are included. We encountered bad weather and had to spend an unscheduled night in Stornoway. Weather was not, of course, Tauck’s fault but they had no plans for the extra day in Stornoway. They said everything was booked because another large cruise ship was inbound and all buses and guides were booked. On cruise mapper, there were no other ships with 200 miles. So we were “on our own” again. We missed Skye because of the weather, once again, not Tauck’s fault. Our last day in Glasgow was another killing time day. Museum on your own, lunch on your own, cathedral on you own. Poor value for money
