Starscapes Observatory Coorg的点评
点评：Visited Starscapes Observatory during our December Coorg trip. We stayed at Taj Madikeri, just 10 minutes away, and surprisingly none of the hotel staff had even heard of this place, which in hindsight felt like a RED FLAG. However, we decided to go ahead and visit using Google Maps. The entry fee is ₹1000 per person, which I personally felt was quite steep. We were a family of four with two children, and what was disappointing is that even our 9-year-old child was charged the full adult price, making it ₹4000 in total.
The highlight was spotting Saturn through the telescope, though it was barely visible, appearing more like a small dot. Once the staff realized we had limited knowledge of space, the session felt rushed, it became quite evident that they were trying to wrap things up quickly as if they were keen to finish quickly.
Overall, this experience is not for everyone. If you already have strong knowledge of astronomy, you may enjoy it. Otherwise, it feels like a costly time pass, especially for families.
