点评:Nice little museum. Easy to tour in 1/2 hour. It is possible to spend more time there. It was raining and so we did not visit the outdoor displays.
One thing.
This is an Archaeological Survey of India facility and so entrance by foreigners can be problematic. In most all of India, ASI sites have entrance fees paid via a QR code located near the entrance, where there used to be a ticket booth. We were told this was established as a Covid social distancing measure. Good on them for that...but... Online ticket purchases using QR codes require an Indian credit card only available to those with an Indian Bank account. Foreigners can not have an Indian bank account. Some sites get around this by allowing the videshi to give rupees to a guard who then purchases the tickets with his credit card. Some sites just say "sorry", and several of them let us in without paying, as it was just too complicated. Really sad. This museum said that entrance to the museum was available with a site ticket for all the Khajuraho temples...600 rupees per ticket. We arrived in the late afternoon and wanted to just visit the museum prior to dinner and rest. Any ticket we purchased to visit the museum would expire the same day, requiring us to spend another 1200 rupees the next day. They relented and allowed us to enter the museum only, for free. We were the only visitors in the entire museum. Very nice of them to do this...but kinda crazy that ASI is organized as it is.
